Self-taught, Stéphane Bonnard began his studies in wood engineering, deciding to call a halt to this following a professional internship. He co-founded KompleX KapharnaüM in 1996, and works on the emergence of a singular speech in public space in collaboration with artists, musicians, video artists, actors, and visual artists. In parallel to this, while co-writing a project with Guy Alloucherie in 2004, he decided to take his works as an author of texts more seriously. He pursues this practice today with a cycle dedicated to the monologue, enhancing it though the creation of a triptych (25, L’Immobile, Rudimentaire). This trilogy was published by Editions Espaces 34 under the title Notre décennie in September 2018.
This double path that winds between writing and public space has led to a long term research on the word in the city. It began to become tangible with the creation Les Immobiles (2018), and continues to unfold as a research and development project within KompleX KapharnaüM.
He is currently collaborating on the next creation of Collectif Petit Travers : Nos matins intérieurs, writing texts for the piece based on testimonies that he has gathered from the performers.
